Matsugamine Ski Area Closed

Matsugamine Ski Area was a small beginner hill in the Nakago district of Joetsu (formerly Nakago village), Niigata, right on the border with Myoko City, between the Joshinetsu Expressway's Nakago IC and Route 18. It opened in 1969 with a single lift of about 300 m serving one gentle run of roughly 350 m, plus ski rental and a few rest houses. It had shut by the late 1980s. The lift has been removed and the slope is now part of the Myoko Sunshine Golf Club.
