Eniwa Shimin Ski Area is a small city-run hill in western Eniwa, on the road toward the Eniwa Gorge. A single lift and a short, gentle slope make it a place for beginners, families and school ski lessons rather than long runs. Prices are set by city ordinance and kept low, preschoolers ski free, and there are parent-and-child and seniors' tickets. Night skiing runs every day through January and on weekends in February, and during the winter holidays and on weekends the city runs a free ski bus for schoolchildren from around town. The season usually runs from late December to early March, about ten minutes by car from the Eniwa exit of the Do-O Expressway.

- JR Shimamatsu Station → Eniwa Municipal Ski Area Eniwa City free shuttle bus · About 1 h 15 min (dep. Shimamatsu Station 8:45 → arr. ski area 10:00) · 2025-26 season: daily 4–14 January, weekends only 17 January – 15 February · Only for elementary and junior high school pupils, students and their supervisors. Stops at 17 points in the city including JR Megumino Station East Exit. Return departs the ski area at 15:20
