Biei Town Ski Area is a small municipal slope in the Murayama district close to central Biei. Covering about 8 hectares, it is served by a single rope tow of roughly 135 m, and snowboarding is allowed. Use is free of charge and the slope is floodlit, so it stays open from morning until early evening during the winter school holidays and at weekends, and from early afternoon on ordinary weekdays, making it an after-school practice hill for local children.
