Asahikawa Santa Present Park trail map
Santa Present Park is a city ski hill about 15 minutes by car from Asahikawa station, and its daily night skiing comes with a view over the lights of Asahikawa. The slope has hosted the FIS Snowboard World Cup three times and has six runs from easy to advanced on three pair lifts, with loading carpets, a snow escalator for first-timers and a free kids' area that make it easy for families. On top stands the Nicholas observation tower, a certified night-view spot that opens in summer. Opened in 1969 as Asahikawa Daibagahara Sun Valley Ski Area, it took its Santa Claus theme in 1995.
