Aibetsu Family Ski Area is a small town-run slope in Aibetsu, central Hokkaido. A single rope tow serves a broad, gentle run of up to 300 m that suits children and beginners, and lift tickets cost only a few hundred yen. From Monday to Wednesday it also opens for night skiing. The town also uses it for children's ski lessons and cross-country walking-ski classes. It opens from late December to around late February and is closed on Fridays outside the school winter holidays.
