Mt. Mineokaasama

Mineoka-Sengen (also read Mineoka-Asama) is a 334.8 m peak in Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture, on the main ridge of the Mineoka Range in the southern Boso Peninsula, capped by a first-order triangulation point and looking out over the Nagasa Plain. The summit was originally 360.8 m but was cut down by gravel quarrying during the postwar boom. Three small Sengen (Fuji-faith) shrines stand on the peak, and the climb starts from Shirataki Fudōson on the northern foot. The mountain lies in Chiba Prefecture's Mineoka Range Natural Park and is selected in the Bōshū Tei-Meizan, the Bōsō no Yama 110 and the Bōsō Sangakushi.
