Mt. Hakamagasen

A 931-meter peak rising in Higashitani-kami of Mimasaka City, Okayama Prefecture. Giant boulders dot the mid-slope—including the legendary Eboshi Rock said to have been placed by the giant Sanbu Tarō—while groves of rare maples cling to the area near the summit. The mountain is famed as a paperbush (mitsumata) spot in spring and is listed in the revised Shin Rūto Okayama no Yama Hyakusen guide.
