Mount Yatsura (1,312.3 m) lies on the border between Mima City and Tsurugi Town (the former Ichiu Village) in Tokushima Prefecture, along the northern fringe of the Tsurugi Range. Its name reflects the panoramic eight-direction view from its summit, and the Yatsura Shrine — dedicated to Ōkuninushi-no-mikoto — sits just below the south-west side of the peak. Local villagers still climb the mountain for a festival held on the 28th day of the seventh lunar month. It is counted among the Shikoku Hyakumeizan and Shikoku Hyakuzan.
