Mount Takamatsu is a 339 m peak in the Kabe district of Asakita Ward, Hiroshima City, crowned by the ruins of Takamatsuyama Castle built in medieval times by the Kumagai clan. Step-like baileys descend the ridge from the central enclosure, and the trailhead at Kabe-guchi sits about a 20-minute walk from JR Kabe Station; a Daimonji-yaki bonfire festival lights the slope on the last weekend of May. The peak features in Hiroshima Hyakuzan, Hiroshima Prefecture Hyakumeizan, and Hiroshima City Mountain Walks.
