Mount Gozasō

Mount Gozasō is a 682.2-metre peak straddling Higashi Ward of Hiroshima City and Fuchū Town in Aki District, the highest summit of the hills east of central Hiroshima. The standard loop climbs from Mikumari Shrine via Iwatani Kannon and Mount Takao to the summit ridge, which commands views of Hiroshima city, the islands of Hiroshima Bay, Shirakiyama, and Miyajima's Mount Misen. Fuchū Town publishes an official trail-map PDF, and the mountain is selected for the Chūgoku 100 Meizan, Hiroshima Hyakuzan, Hiroshima 100 Meizan, and other lists.
