Mt. Shiraki

Mt. Shiraki is an 889.3 m peak in Shiraki-chō of Asakita Ward, Hiroshima City, and the ward's highest summit. A small Shiraki-yama Shrine and a radio relay station stand on top, where a 360-degree panorama opens to the city, the Kabe district and Mt. Sanbe in the distance. From the trailhead near JR Shirakiyama Station (about 100 m elevation), the climb is roughly 790 m of vertical gain — one of the largest single-peak ascents in Hiroshima Prefecture. Listed in Chūgoku 100 Mountains, Hiroshima 100 Mountains and other regional lists.
