Mount Shichiyo is a 1,584 m peak on the border of Tenkawa and Kamikitayama Villages in Nara Prefecture, sitting on the Omine Okugake-michi pilgrimage route - part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range. Set between Mount Daifugen and Mount Gyoja-gaeri, it is a historic Shugendo training site with sharp ridges secured by ropes, chains and ladders, and is commonly climbed in a loop from Wasamatakuchi via Daifugen. The peak lies within Yoshino-Kumano National Park.
