Mount Onigatsura is a 1,465-metre peak on the boundary between Tadami Town in Minamiaizu District, Fukushima Prefecture, and Uonuma City in Niigata Prefecture, the main summit on the south-western ridge extending from Mount Asakusa (1,585 m) along the Echigo Range. Its southern face holds the giant rock walls suggested by its name, and the standard route runs from the Rokujūri-goe trailhead via Kengamine across these crags. Famed for its early-summer Himesayuri lilies and autumn colour, the peak is selected for the Niigata 100 Meizan, Utsukushima Hyakumeizan, and Aizu Hyakumeizan lists.
