Mount Biei is a 2,052 m volcano in Biei Town, Hokkaido, and the second-highest peak of the Tokachi Range after Mount Tokachi. The standard route starts at Bogakudai, skirts Tokachidake and crosses Kumo-no-taira before ascending the southwest ridge. Kitamukaisawa has steep sections with ladders and ropes. Alpine meadows around the summit support Ezo-tsugazakura and other alpine plants. The mountain lies in Daisetsuzan National Park.
