This 646 m Shiroyama in Komaba, Achi Village, Nagano, is the site of Komanba Castle (Achi Castle), a Sengoku-period mountain fort built on a bluff above the Achi River. Said to have been raised by the Hayashi clan in the early 1400s, it later fell under Takeda control. Komaba is also remembered as the place where Takeda Shingen died on his return from Mikawa, and the ruins are now kept as Achi Park. It is listed among the castles of Sengoku Shinano.
