Gyojadake

Gyojadake is a 2,159 m peak on Mount Chokai’s outer crater rim in Yuza, Akumi District, Yamagata Prefecture. On the ridge from Monjudake through Fushiogamidake, it is commonly visited along the outer-rim circuit from the Yunodai trailhead. Its summit offers close views of Shinzan and Senjadani valley. It lies within Chokai Quasi-National Park. The shortcut from the summit to Omuro hut is closed because of a rock-wall collapse.
