Katsuratani-no-Atama is a 1,708-metre peak on the Nagasawa ridge — the Tokyo–Saitama boundary crest of the Okuchichibu range — within Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park. It stands on the border between Chichibu, Saitama, and Okutama, Tokyo, between Imoki-no-Dokke north of Mount Kumotori and Nagasawayama (1,720 m). Served only by emergency huts, the area sees few walkers and holds the deepest snow in these mountains in winter.
