Osawa Goya

1,680 m · Ōmachi-shi, Nagano · 2.6 km from the summit of Mount Harinoki

Mountain hut at about 1,680m at the start of the Harinoki snow-gully route toward Harinokidake in the Ushiro-Tateyama range of the Northern Alps. It stands in Taira, Omachi City, Nagano Prefecture, about an hour's climb above the Ogisawa trailhead. Run by the same operator as Harinoki Goya up on the ridge, this old hut is used for a night before the climb, sparing walkers a night in the car when the Ogisawa parking fills up. There is no campsite, and those wishing to stay arrange it through the office. The season is short — roughly one month from late July.
