玉乃窪山荘

2,755 m · Kiso, Nagano · 0.9 km from the summit of Mt. Nakadake

Mountain hut at the ninth station of Kisokomagatake in the Central Alps, about 2,755m and only 200m below the Kiso-side summit. It sits where the Agematsu A and B courses meet the Kiso-Fukushima course: roughly 3 hours on foot from the Komagatake Ropeway, with a further 40 minutes to the summit, or about 8 hours from Alps Sanso at the Agematsu A trailhead or from Koma-no-yu, and about 6 hours from the former Kiso-Fukushima ski area. Lodging is a single shared room sleeping 30, giving the hut a homely feel. It is known for sunsets seen from neighbouring Kisomaedake and for the autumn colours on the Komagatake ridge, and has hot showers.
