赤岳展望荘

Lodge at 2,722m on the main ridge linking Akadake, the highest peak of the Yatsugatake range, with Yokodake, right beside Jizo-no-atama. The summit of Akadake is only about 260 vertical metres and half an hour away, and the appeal here is being able to watch Mount Fuji, the Northern Alps, sunrise and sunset from inside your room, with alpine flowers all around in summer. It is about five hours from Minotoguchi, or a short walk from where the Jizo ridge from Gyoja Goya meets the crest. Large for a mountain hut, it sleeps 138 in 19 twin rooms, 4 triples, 12 four-person rooms, one ten-person room and five six-person common rooms — all with beds. Disposable sheets, pillowcases and collar covers are used. There is no campsite. The hut's celebrated "Goemon bath" is due to resume in 2026. It opens in winter as well as summer for limited periods. Run by the Fujimori group together with Yatsugatake Sanso, Minoto Sanso and Hutte Natsuzawa.
