北沢峠こもれび山荘

2,040 m · Ina, Nagano · 1.1 km from the summit of Mt. Futagoyama

Mountain hut at 2,032m standing directly opposite the bus stop at Kitazawa Pass, the terminus of the Southern Alps forest-road bus. It is the base for two of Japan's hundred famous mountains, Kaikomagatake and Senjogatake, and because you step off the bus almost at its door, many guests stay two nights and climb both. From the Nagano side the approach is by forest-road bus from Todai Park (Senryuso). Formerly called Choei-so, it is now run by Ina City Kanko Co. Stays are strictly by reservation for 67 people, in partitioned shared rooms on both floors, with a private room upstairs available for a surcharge when free. Every tap in the building runs on spring water that is safe to drink, and there is a dining room, washroom and changing room. There is no campsite, and the hut is not opened as a winter shelter.
