Unmanned emergency shelter at 1,914m at the fifth station of the Agematsu A course, the western approach to Kiso-Komagatake in the Central Alps. Administered by the Agematsu Town Tourism Association, it is open year-round to anyone. The route it stands on — from Agematsu Station over Kiso-Maedake to the summit — is the town's main line up the mountain, roughly 8km and 8 hours from the second station near Alps Sanso to the top, with parking available above the lodge. The climb to the hut is fairly steep, and the old fifth-station spring "Kongosui" is usually dry, making the third-station Keishin the last reliable water. Walter Weston once walked this historic path, and school groups still climb it today.
