From Agano Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line, this long traverse passes the Agano spring and Maesaka to Otakayama (493 m), the high point of the eastern Hanno Alps, then follows the ridge over Agano-no-kashira, Tenkakusan, Higashi Pass, Kusumi Pass and Nagatayama to Tonosuyama and Tenranzan before descending to Hanno Station. The low ridge rises and falls without respite, and Tonosuyama looks toward central Tokyo.
