From Higashi-Agano Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line, this traverse of the eastern Hanno Alps climbs the 445 m Tenkakusan and continues over Higashi Pass, Kusumi Pass and Nagatayama to Tonosuyama and Tenranzan before descending to Hanno Station. The low ridge rises and falls relentlessly, Tonosuyama looks toward central Tokyo, and the finish crosses Tenranzan, named for Emperor Meiji's review of army exercises there in 1883.
