A short walk of about 1 km from Tenranzan-shita in Hanno, Saitama, up to the lookout on the 197 m summit of Tenranzan and back. Once called Atagoyama, it became Rakanyama after Keishoin, mother of the shogun Tsunayoshi, donated sixteen stone arhat statues, and took its present name after Emperor Meiji reviewed army exercises from the top in 1883. Low as it is, the hill looks out across the Kanto Plain.
