From Shomaru Station on the Seibu Chichibu Line, this loop climbs to Shomaru Pass and follows the ridge over Kotakayama, Nagaiwa Pass and Gorinyama to the 851 m Mount Izugatake, then descends from Okurayama past Kame Rock and Futago Rock to the Saneya fork and returns via Nagaiwa Bridge to the station. One of the best-loved peaks of Okumusashi, its summit looks through the trees to the surrounding hills, with azaleas in spring and autumn colour.
