Tenoko Ski Area is a small town-run hill in the Tenoko district of Iide, Yamagata, overlooking the village below. Its single-seat platter lift has an unusual mid-station, and a simple beginner lift serves the gentle family slope, where sledding is also allowed. Runs range from the family slope through the intermediate central slope and Buna-mori course to the advanced Trial course, mostly on medium pitches. Night skiing runs four evenings a week, so locals can ski after work, and prices are low. It sits just off Route 113, about 30 minutes from the Nanyo-Takahata IC.
