Soma Romantopia Ski Resort trail map
Soma Romantopia is a small city-owned ski hill in the former Soma village area of Hirosaki, Aomori, sharing lift tickets with Iwakisan Hyakuzawa. One pair lift serves two runs: Cosmo, which faces Mt. Iwaki head-on as you ski down, and Adventure, which winds partly through trees. The wide beginner and intermediate slopes suit families, and LED floodlights allow night skiing, with evening ski classes in midwinter. The neighbouring Romantopia resort facilities closed in 2025, but the ski area has kept operating.

Train
- Hirosaki Station JR Ou Main Line · The free shuttle ran on 8 Sundays/holidays in Jan–Feb 2026 (2025-26 season; dep. 8:00 and 11:00, continuing to Iwakisan Hyakuzawa) → Konan Bus Soma Line to Soma Chosha, then the free pick-up bus (50 min in total, ¥560). A free seasonal shuttle also runs from the Joto Exit bus pool (40 min)
