Otani Onsen Ski Area Closed
Official name 大谷温泉スキー場
Toyama
Opened in 1958
Otani Onsen Ski Area was a small hill beside the Otani hot spring inn on the edge of Uozu, Toyama. It opened in 1958 with about two hectares of slope, two rope tows and a small jump. At the end of 1982, coaches and parents of the Uozu junior racing team installed floodlights for night training. Its closeness to the city made it a popular family spot, but visitor numbers fell in the Heisei era and it closed. The neighbouring inn shut in 2013.
