Kitanaganuma Ski Area trail map
Kitanaganuma is the town ski area of Naganuma, run by the town on the plains east of Sapporo. Gentle beginner and intermediate slopes, with an average pitch of 13 degrees, are served by one single and two pair chairlifts, and floodlights keep it open into the evening every day. Day tickets are cheap and Naganuma children up to junior high ski free, so it is busy with local kids and school ski lessons. Being close to New Chitose Airport, it also gets visitors from outside Hokkaido. The season usually runs from late December to early March.
