Furusato no Mori Ski Area is a small free winter play slope near the centre of Kikonai, southern Hokkaido, managed by the town board of education. It is meant as a winter sports ground where parents and children can ski or go sledging without fuss, and use is free in principle. No lift is operated at present, and there is a single lodge. It opens from early January to early March, mainly on weekends and holidays, plus weekdays during the school winter break, with parking for about 40 cars.
