Moss phlox blooms on the slopes in May, and the summit’s Yakushi Hall enshrines a statue of Yakushi Buddha. The summit overlooks central Kikonai and the Tsugaru Strait, with views of the Shimokita Peninsula on clear days. A path beside the baseball field starts from the parking area behind the central community hall, and wooden steps line the hiking trail.
