Official name 油坂スキーパーク · Formerly 油坂スキー場
Gifu
Open 1933–2004
Aburasaka Ski Park stood beside Route 158 in Shirotori, Gujo, near the Fukui border, and was known as Gifu's oldest ski area, opened in 1933. Run by the Meitetsu group's Gifu Kanko Sakudo, it was a compact hill with a pair and a single chair serving two runs of up to about a kilometre, and an unusual layout in which the slopes crossed over the main road's tunnel and bridges. Night skiing ran on weekdays too, and many racers trained here. It closed in 2004, and the city has turned the site into Aburasaka Sakura Park, with camping and fishing ponds.
