Mt. Nanbofuji

Nanbo-Fuji (727 m) is a mountain in Asahi, Shimoniikawa District, Toyama Prefecture. Its Fuji-like shape seen from the Nanbo district earns it the affectionate 'hometown Fuji' name, and a Buddhist statue sits at its open summit. Reached in about 90 minutes from trailheads such as the Mimine green space, the top gives a 360-degree view of Toyama Bay, the Noto Peninsula and Tsurugi-dake. A seven-tiered waterfall over 50 m high lies on its slope. It is counted among the Toyama Hyakuzan and the Shin-Etchū Hyakuzan.
