Mt. Kaburayama

Mt. Kaburayama is a 1,068.9-meter peak in the Okumino district of Itadera, Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, rising northeast of the city-operated 21st Century Forest Park. The park's signature Kabusugi ("stump-cedar") Grove — more than 50 multi-trunked Japanese cedars 400–500 years old preserved as a relic of the local charcoal-making moegi-koushin ("coppice regrowth") tradition — serves as the trailhead. The summit affords a 360-degree view including Mt. Ontake and Mt. Hakusan, with autumn beech and maple foliage and spring greenery as highlights. Two routes — the Kabusugi Course and the Nature Observation Course — diverge from the park's 50-car lot. Seki City lists Kaburayama as one of its stamp-rally peaks; it is also featured in the Gifu Hyakuzan, Tōkai no Hyakuzan, and Gifu Hyakushūzan lists.
