Mt. Jūni is a 1,326.6 m peak in Nyūkawa-chō, Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture. The name ("Twelve Peaks") comes from the way its ridges and valleys form twelve folds around the summit. A large sundial-style monument crowns the top, encircled by twelve directional stones, and from the lookout — equipped with free binoculars — climbers count twelve famous mountains including Norikura, Ontake, Hakusan and the Northern Alps. Three trailheads (Yokoo, Daikibo-Rindō and Urita) lead up via a one-way 3.5 km, 400 m-gain path, gentle enough for family hikes; access roads close in winter. Listed in Gifu 100 Mountains, Hida 100 Mountains and Gifu 100 Brilliant Peaks.
