Mount Onigausu

鬼ヶ臼山

Known for a mortar-like summit boulder and an ogre legend. The boulder, about 5 m tall, 3 m wide and 2 m deep, rests on a pedestal-like rock, with views nearby. The trail steepens after the torii of Yamagami Daimyojin on the ridge. Places associated with the legend, including Oni no Kamaishi and Akago no Ashiato, remain around the foothills.
