Shippozan is the principal peak (about 445 m) of the long north–south Shippo range that straddles Kanonji and Mitoyo in Kagawa Prefecture. Its name derives from a legend that Kobo Daishi Kukai buried seven treasures (shippo) on the mountain; at its southern foot lies the roughly 50 m Fudo Falls, now developed as a country park, while the range's northern peak of Inazumiyama holds Takaya Shrine, famed for its "torii in the sky."
