Mount Ōgiri (766.7 m) sits on the boundary between Higashi-Chichibu Village and Minano Town in Saitama Prefecture, one of the Hiki Three Mountains alongside Mount Kasa and Mount Dōhira, and a featured summit on the Outer-Chichibu Seven Peaks traverse. Its open grassy crown offers sweeping views over Mount Bukō, Mount Ryōkami, and the wider Chichibu range. The southern saddle, Kayunita Pass, carries the legend of General Sakanoue-no-Tamuramaro brewing rice porridge during his Emishi campaigns; nearby the Saitama Prefectural Pasture hosts millions of poppies in late May. The peak is segment 5 of the Kantō Fureai-no-Michi long-distance trail in Saitama.
