Mt. Kanetsukidouyama

Kanetsukidoyama is a 329.8 m hill straddling Fukaya City, Misato Town and Yorii Town in northwestern Saitama Prefecture, listed in the Kanto Hyakumeizan and the 350 Mountains around Tokyo, among others. Its name ("bell-tower mountain") recalls a Sengoku-era beacon-bell once kept here by the Hojo clan to sound alarms. Trailheads sit minutes from Yorii and Hakurei stations on the Chichibu Railway; three routes (north, west and south) climb the peak in roughly an hour, and on clear days the summit looks out to Mt. Tsukuba and the Tokyo Skytree.
