Mount Gongen, locally called Ōno-Gongen-yama, is a 699.5-metre peak straddling the Ōno and Saeki districts of Hatsukaichi City in Hiroshima Prefecture, one of the principal summits on the Hatsukaichi 20 Meizan list. Walked as a family-friendly loop from the Ōno Nature Observation Forest by Benimansaku Lake, it features the celebrated Omusubi Rock — a smaller boulder balanced on a larger one — and opens onto wide views of Miyajima, Hiroshima Bay, and the Iwakuni coast. The peak features on the Hiroshima Hyakuzan and Hiroshima 100 Meizan lists.
