Kabutoiwa is a rocky crag at about 556 m on the ridge running from Mt. Iwadono toward the Chigo-otoshi cliffs in Ōtsuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture. A thrilling stretch of chained passages and sheer drops, it is usually walked together with Mt. Iwadono (634 m), one of Ōtsuki's Twelve Superb Views of Mt. Fuji. It appears in the guidebooks "Kantō-shūhen Yamanami Aruki" and "Takao-Jinba-Chūōsen no Yama."
