From Otsuki Station, this traverse climbs past the Hatakura trailhead and the Oni no Iwaya cave to the 634 m Mount Iwadono and its castle ruins, then crosses the chained rocks of Kabutoiwa and Mount Tenjin to the roughly 150 m cliff of Chigo-otoshi before descending into Otsuki. It follows a Sengoku-period mountain fortress counted among the three great castles of Kanto, with views of Mount Fuji and the town from the cliff tops.
