Unmanned emergency shelter at about 1,180m deep in the Usokkozawa valley in Tashiro, Aoi Ward, Shizuoka, in the southern Southern Alps. It stands on the trail that crosses the Hatanagi suspension bridge and climbs toward Chausudake, below Yokokubozawa-goya, and is the first staging point on the long ascent from the Hatanagi No.1 Dam to the ridge. The Ministry of the Environment's national inventory treats it as a municipally built shelter, administered by Shizuoka City's Ikawa branch office together with the Ikawa Tourism Association, within the Okuoi Prefectural Natural Park. Nothing is stocked here — no food, no bedding — and it exists for use in bad weather or trouble.
