Mountain hut standing on Kisodonokoshi, the saddle between Utsugidake and Higashikawadake in the Central Alps, inside the Inagawa national forest on the Okuwa (Nagano) side. It sits where the Kiso-side and Ina-side trails meet, a hinge point for ridge traverses. Utsugidake is 1h30m away, Minamikomagatake 3h, Koshibyakusan 5h30m, and the Ikeyama ridge descent to Komagane 6h; from the Inagawa dam on the Kiso side it is about 5h30m. The hut takes 80 guests by reservation only and offers everything from room-only to two-meal stays. There is no water at the hut itself — the Yoshinaka-no-chikaramizu spring is a 9-minute walk along the Inagawa trail. In winter part of the storehouse is left open as an emergency shelter.
