2,689 m · Komagane, Nagano · 2.5 km from the summit of Shimadamusume

Mountain hut at 2,680m on the main ridge of the Central Alps, about 300m east and below the summit of Hinoodake, almost exactly midway between Kiso-Komagatake and Utsugidake. Long an unmanned shelter, it reopened in July 2022 as a staffed lodge for the summer and autumn season. Reach it in about 3h20m from Senjojiki Station on the Komagatake Ropeway via Gokurakudaira and Nigorisawa-omine, or in roughly 6h30m up the Hinoo ridge from the Hinoobashi bus stop on the valley road. No meals are served — stays are room-only, with bedding for rent — and a 20-tent site adjoins the hut. The terrace looks out over the Southern Alps to Mt. Fuji.
