2,555 m · Iijima, Nagano · 1.9 km from the summit of Mount Utsugi

Unmanned emergency shelter at 2,560m in the Suribachikubo cirque, which opens out just east and below Minamikomagatake in the Central Alps. It stands slightly below the main ridge, roughly midway between Komaho Hutte on Utsugidake and Kosumo-goya, and has been administered by Iijima Town inside the Central Alps Quasi-National Park. In July 2022 a large ground crack was found near the hut; because of the landslide and collapse risk the whole Suribachikubo cirque was closed to entry and the hut cannot be used. Nagano Prefecture's hut information states that a wall of the shelter has collapsed and there is no prospect of repair.
