The lodge closest to the summit of Tsurugidake, standing at about 2,470m just below Ippukuken on the mountain's southeast face, within Chubu-Sangaku National Park. It is reached by taking the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route to Murodo, then walking from Raichozawa over Tsurugi-gozen and down into Kenzawa, and it serves as the forward base for climbers heading up Tsurugidake by the Bessan ridge. Sleeping quarters are two-tier bunks and tatami dormitories, shared only, with no private rooms; bedding is supplied. Unusually for a hut at this altitude, a combined septic system supports flush toilets, washbasins and a shower room, with showers available from 13:00 to 17:00 for three people of each sex at a time. The shop sells souvenirs, draught beer and local Toyama sake, and also runs a lunch service and a cafe; helmets can be rented. Because most parties climbing Tsurugidake leave very early, anyone setting off before the 5:30 breakfast is handed a packed morning meal the night before.
