Sakuragaoka is a small town-run ski hill on the edge of Takinoue in northeastern Hokkaido, served by one lift and a rope tow. Its five runs range from a gentle family slope to the Dynamic course, which reaches 35 degrees, with valley and forest runs in between. Local children ski free and lift prices are very low, so it works mainly as a community hill for school lessons and after-work skiing under lights. The season usually runs from late December to late March.
