Kunohe Ski Area trail map
Kunohe is a small family ski area run by Kunohe village in northern Iwate. One pair lift serves three runs: the 900 m Panorama, the Dynamic course used for local races, and the gentle Karamatsu course with a top pitch of 20 degrees. Snowboarding is allowed everywhere. Lift tickets are very cheap, preschoolers ride free and under-15s ski free one Sunday a month. A village inn and hot spring are nearby. The hill was closed for the 2025-26 season and has announced it will stay closed for 2026-27.
